Megan Bee

As a naturalist, traveler, and farmer Megan Bee's music rings with an unquenchable wanderlust and a raw love for the land.  True folk-Americana blends over a distinctly homespun voice and an acoustic simplicity.   From the rolling hills of Athens, Ohio and frequently roaming the country, she first found her voice around a campfire in the middle of a desert wilderness.

Her recent studio album Like a Canyon features members of the Mountain Stage Band, and continues to carry that yearning and soulfulness that permeate her writing.  Her solo career began with the release of A Sense of Place in 2015.  Previous to that she fronted and wrote for the trio Wormz and the Decomposers whose album Grow won the Ohio Music Awards 2014 Americana Album of the year.

Praise for Like a Canyon

"The album is beautifully produced, and Megan's voice cuts like a warbling bird through the music, like a line on a map" -Hold the Note  Magazine

"Bee’s latest album feels like a drive through the area’s modest hills, sipping well water from a tin dipper to take away the taste of those dusty roads" -No Depression Magazine

"...an inventive songwriter whose contributions to music are distinctively accessible and restorative. Social conciousness without preachiness, catchiness without corniness. Her work combines artistic brilliance with earthy authenticity." Troy Gregorino
